Changing of the light

Here we are, a few days beyond the summer solstice. This is usually a time I feel a bone-deep low-level dread, an awareness of the creeping darkness, the shortening days, the inexorable march toward winter. But this year, the solstice came, and instead of pulling down and in in somewhat glum anticipation, I feel freed up somehow, watchful.  Just witnessing the changing of the light.

Maybe my witnessing, my openness, my shift in perspective is a reflection of the tectonic energy shift I’ve been undergoing these past few years. I’m slowly naming and challenging habits of being that no longer serve my highest and best, and easing (prying my rigid fingers) away from ideas and preconceptions that have allowed me to stay in some old patterns for so long.

After spiraling back to the idea again and again and again, I’ve finally gathered my courage, and have decided to make more public the very best parts of what I have been offering this past year through my consulting and coaching work, and the perspective I bring from being in the world in my specific, positive, heart-centered way. So, expect some broadening here at heartwork these next few months, expect some new tabs, and some new navigation, some new content.  Expect to find me here.  I am so excited to see what unfolds!
