finding my way

this is not about being someone else

this is about being you.

this seems simple, right? but how many of us get caught up in the tangled web of who we thought we should be, or who other people thought we should be?

how many of us have taken paths, maybe even wonderful productive exciting paths, that turn out to not the the path of the lifetime…  and how hard it is to let it go, with gratitude, honoring how it has served us… but with recognition that it no longer fits who we have become or who we are becoming.

I see it with clients all the time, and I see it in myself too.

I always thought I had to know where I was going before I could admit that where I was was the wrong place.

I have learned this: I had to admit I was in the wrong place *first*. I had to make room for something new in order for the something new thing to find me.

A No that led to Yeses.
