The Well of soul supporting resources:
Karen Alonge: Dear friend and intuitive life coach. She will make you feel that everything is possible.
Elma of Now Healing (sign up for the newsletter and get a 7 minute audio gift that is really quite amazing)– I did some sessions with Elma when dealing with infertility, and while I did not necessarily believe/subscribe to that which was being explained, I do believe in energy and, always, without fail, I felt better and more grounded after we talked. I’m not woo-woo, and she is remarkably matter of fact.
Jen Lee: creative genius, super hero, story teller and story elictor, champion, formdible fabulous wonderful. If you do nothing else, listen to her Emerging Icon series. She really is magnificent.
Maya Stein: Poetry on so many different levels. Her latest entry (only once) on her poetry blog simply floored me.
Books. The fact of them. Holding them. Knowing all of those little black marks and spaces make for some magic that nothing else compares with— connecting me to the power of my own imagination, effortlessly…. ahhhh Books.
Gluten free chocolate cake that can be made to be dairy free: Sub canola in 1:1 for the butter, you won’t miss it. Make it a day ahead. No need for frosting. Bliss.
My family– two have blogs: Dad, Sarah here and here
My posse– I have two that intermingle and overlap, my infertility posse and my creativity posse. I hope to post about these some time soon.
Some other sources of beauty/inspiration where I drop in when I can: Hula Steph, Pixie, Brene
And I often do random link and image jumping on Flickr and Etsy.
My painting: acrylic on gesso board. I used to use acrylic paper, loved the crazy faux canvas weave of it, that there was no way to be perfect, ever, since that surface could not hold a line… the gesso board is less forgiving, but I am using it differently. I spend as much time taking away as I do applying– fingers, rags, paper, things to scratch with… it is a different experience for me. Source for supplies? Dick Blick for most, but cheap brushes from the relatively local Michaels craft store; I need to touch the brushes first before committing.
