catch and release

even when we’ve picked up our pieces, gathered them, glued them back together

even when we’ve moved on in so many ways

even when we’ve breathed in deeply for the first time, or the hundredth without a catch

there is a moment or moments or moment after moment after moment when we realize that we have the kind of unfinished business that cannot remain in the current state of unfinishedness.

It may not be finishable– yes. but the current state, cannot stay static.

But there is movement that is calling, that may, in fact, be suddenly possible for the first time. and there is an insistence about it.

***

is there an insistence you are trying to ignore?

is there one step you can take to move in the direction of release?
